HELLO CHOIR.

I have been instructed by higher authorities to pick out verses in which you guys/girls are not able to come in correctly or don't know quite well for the soloists to sing!

Thus, this has been my choice. You guys/girls are really quite incredible though, I can't find that many verses like that. Meanwhile, rest assured you'll get your fair share of the limelight and keep practicing the songs, especially those not in your mother tongue(other than the English ones!)

This is the list:

1. Shine For Singapore, the first verse. I think the soloists should do that part because some people (I really have no idea who) can't really come in correctly, and that makes it sound really quite messy because of all the "S"s so that part will be done by the soloists, and in the second verse the whole choir will come in.

2. There's No Place I'd Rather Be. The first chorus: after "experienced sweet and sour but that's okay" part, that's the first chorus. However the choir will still be singing THAT part. In this chorus there is a part where we go "this is where my family and my friends grew up with me!" RIGHT AFTER this part, the soloists will sing the part that goes "So I'll cross the skies..." dadada. I decided on this part because you see, the choir doesn't always come in on time either (hehheh) and if the music is not loud enough, you'll go out of beat.

3. And in Will You, the opera part (as it is most commonly known as) will be done by the soloists as well. This is not as strictly under orders as the previous two have been. However, only ATTEMPT it if you are sure that you know it. And if you ARE going to attempt it, please let me know by thursday and i shall audition you guys personally. It has to be done. We are going to put our best into this because it's a chance for us to be onstage. I know i sound cheesy but I do not look like a mouse, Juniper.

4. Stand up for Singapore! There is a part where the key changes, I am sure you people know this. (IF YOU DON'T YOU BETTER OPEN YOUR EARS AND LISTEN TOMORROW. WHEN THE KEY CHANGES DO NOT SING) This occurs right after a chorus. The change in key will be done by the soloists as well. After that the choir will join in and YAY EVERYONE CAN HAVE FUN. (cheer)

Any feedback and comments come straight to me/Ariel/Ms Ong. No wishy washy business where you bitch amongst yourselves about how our decisions are like that like that ok. The choir cannot be like that, we must be open with each other to forge this really good relationship. I don't want any of you hiding things from us because it's always good to have feedback. We will NOT bite we'll just explain our choices and evaluate your feedback so please come and talk to us about anything!

Also remember your actions and have fun, and smile. Look relaxed, not like a werewolf/vampire is trying to bite you or anything ok. Otherwise the whole school will just get sick of your stone faces and go run amock. That's about all, and please, I beg you, do NOT go out of tune and/or start playing onstage. Not a very good thing unless we're jumping or anything. Otherwise I expect no tickling/pushing/shoving whatever okay.

I hope I've made myself crystal clear:D love you, choir.

Jollin.
